What it is
The first sixty minutes are guided: a somatic movement workshop that gets you out of your head and into your hips, working with weight, breath, floor and contact.
Then the floor opens. A full ecstatic dance set, with no talking, no shoes and no alcohol, running until it finishes itself.
You can arrive for the workshop or just for the dance. Coming for both is better; the workshop is what makes the floor honest.
Who it's for
- Regular dancers who want a floor with some depth to it.
- Locals. Open to everyone, retreat or not.
- Anyone who has never danced sober in a room of strangers and is curious.
- People who need to move something they cannot name.
